Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules governing use of all CIMHost services. This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not store, distribute, host, or link to any of the following:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors
- Content that incites violence, terrorism, or hatred against any person or group
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, trojans, or any malicious code
- Phishing pages, fraudulent storefronts, or impersonation of any individual, company, or brand
- Illegally obtained data, leaked credentials, or stolen personal information
- Pirated software, cracked applications, or unauthorised copies of copyrighted material
- Content that violates any applicable law in Singapore or the jurisdiction of the end user
2. Prohibited Activities
2.1 Network Abuse
- Conducting or facilitating denial of service (DoS or DDoS) attacks against any target
- Port scanning or network probing of systems you do not own or have explicit permission to test
- Operating open proxies, open DNS resolvers, or open mail relays
- Spoofing IP addresses or forging packet headers
- Any activity that degrades the performance of our network or infrastructure
2.2 Email and Spam
- Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) of any kind
- Harvesting email addresses from any source without consent
- Operating mailing lists without confirmed opt-in from all recipients
- Sending email with falsified headers or deceptive sender information
2.3 Unauthorised Access
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any system, network, or account
- Exploiting vulnerabilities in software or systems without explicit written permission
- Distributing hacking tools, exploit kits, or credential-stuffing software
- Circumventing any technical or administrative security measure
2.4 Resource Abuse
- Cryptocurrency mining operations of any kind without prior written consent from CIMHost
- Running automated bots or scrapers that place excessive load on shared infrastructure
- Artificially inflating resource usage to circumvent plan limits
3. Reseller Responsibilities
Customers on reseller, agency, VPS, or dedicated plans who provision sub-accounts for third parties are fully responsible for ensuring those end users comply with this AUP. CIMHost holds the reseller account holder responsible for all activity under their allocated resources.
Resellers must maintain their own acceptable use terms with customers that are at least as restrictive as this AUP, and must act promptly to suspend sub-accounts found to be in violation.
4. DMCA and Intellectual Property
CIMHost complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent intellectual property laws. To submit a takedown notice:

Your notice must include: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) location of the infringing material; (c) your contact information; (d) a good faith statement; and (e) a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury.
We will process valid notices promptly and notify the account holder where legally permitted.
5. Reporting Abuse
To report suspected abuse, spam, or illegal content hosted on CIMHost infrastructure:

Please include the IP address or domain involved, a description of the issue, and any supporting evidence. We investigate all credible reports and respond within 2 business days.
6. Enforcement
Upon finding a violation, CIMHost may at its sole discretion and without prior notice:
- Issue a warning to the account holder
- Remove or disable access to specific content or features
- Suspend the account temporarily pending investigation
- Terminate the account permanently without refund
- Report the activity to law enforcement or regulatory authorities
- Disclose account information to authorities as required by law
⚠️ Certain violations — including CSAM, active DDoS attacks, and malware distribution — will result in immediate termination without warning.
7. Upstream Provider Requirements
CIMHost infrastructure is delivered in part through upstream providers whose own acceptable use policies apply to all content and activities on their networks. By using our Services, you agree to comply with applicable upstream provider policies. CIMHost will act on upstream provider abuse notifications promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
CIMHost may update this AUP at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email and posted at cimhost.com/legal/aup. Continued use of our Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
